Review: Every once in a while a book comes along that I am so gaga over, I just know I won’t be able to write a review that comes anywhere near doing it justice because all that will come out in my excitement is nonsensical blubber. This is one of those rare cases, so bear with me.

What a grand adventure! Definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. SO much fun, SO entertaining! In looking at the genre classifications on Goodreads, it seems that many have shelved it as steampunk, which is something I’ve never read, but if this is what the genre is about, I’m all in!

Spy librarians, dragons, vampires, werewolves, magic, and fae, plus alternate universes?!?!? And a completely relatable, self-sufficient and ballsy (though not edgy) female protagonist? How about a big helping of HELL YES!

While reading, I got to a point where I checked to see how much time I had left in the book (e-galley), and I couldn’t believe there were only 45 minutes left. How on earth(s?) could it almost be over? It felt like it had just started. I love when you fall so deep into a book that you lose sense of time, and the story is so good that it feels like there will never be enough of it. That is my absolute favorite kind of reading experience. As close to an out of body, out of world experience as possible.

My only complaint is that it appears this wasn’t originally released in the US, so while there is a 2nd book out there (AHHHH!!!), it hasn’t been released HERE. So my library doesn’t have it. But my brain knows it’s out there and I must have it. Grrrr…Good news is, it looks as though all three books (yes, I believe there is a new to everyone 3rd book already written!) are slated to be published here in the States this year, starting with this gem. Yay!

Anyway, I think it goes without saying but…Yes. The Invisible Library is an absolute must read.
