2018: My Year in Reading

While I fell short on my page goals in 2017, I managed to make my book goal of 110, if only by the skin of my teeth. You can check out my 2017 goals here and the final results here.

This year my primary goals are reading longer books, more pages, reading more of my own books, but still making progress on my gargantuan galley pile. As such, I have lowered my Goodreads Challenge to 85 books, but am pushing myself to 40,150 pages.

Aside from the Goodreads Challenge, I have committed myself to the Beat the Backlist Challenge, attempting to read 30 books on my TBR (personal or galley) that were published prior to 2018.

I’ll be posting updates on my progress in the Beat the Backlist Challenge, as well as my personal challenge to read 10 Chunksters and 10 Uber Chunksters, but as has always been the case, my progress towards my book and page count goals will always be tracked here.

So, here’s my current status:

Books:     7/85

Pages:      2219/40,150

  1. The Lost Plot by Genevieve Cogman
  2. A State of Freedom by Neel Mukherjee
