This challenge is something I’m doing for myself, to vary my reading a bit. It isn’t something I’m hosting (nor is anybody else for that matter), it’s just a bit of a variation on other challenges I’ve seen, but altered to be more doable for me. You are welcome to do it as well (and I’d love to hear about it if you do), or to take parts of it that work for you, etc. I’ll be updating my status as I make progress. Also, each book I read will count only once towards a particular challenge, but I fully intend to double dip between challenges (if a book from this challenge is also a chunkster, I’ll count it in both places).
- A book set in another country: A Perilous Undertaking by Deanna Raybourn (in England)
- A book published in 2017: The Burning Page by Genevieve Cogman
- A book by a new (to me) author: Leopard at the Door by Jennifer McVeigh
- A book over 450 pages: Little Heaven by Nick Cutter
- An historical fiction novel: The Second Mrs. Hockaday by Susan Rivers
- First book in a new (to me) series: A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
- A book set somewhere you’d like to live (NYC): The Wicked City by Beatriz Williams
- A book translated to your native language (from Italian to English): Kill the Father by Sandrone Dazieri
- A murder/suspense/thriller: The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney
- A book with a beautiful cover: Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs
- A 20th Century Classic: 1984 by George Orwell
- A book that was recommended: The Gift by Louise Jensen
- A YA Novel: The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro
- A GR Choice Awards Nominee: A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
- A non-fiction book: Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen
- A book that’s been on your TBR for awhile: The Bat by Jo Nesbo
- A collection of short stories: The Refugees by Viet Thanh Nguyen
- A sci fi novel: The Wanderers by Meg Howrey
Looks doable, good luck to you.
Thanks! I’m hoping I made reasonable choices so I have a chance at getting it done.
