Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon October 2016: Start

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

A beautiful inn located in Rockport, ME with a stunning (and currently very moody and Stephen Kingish) view of the Atlantic ocean, foggy and misty and perfect!

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

There are so many, I’m not sure where to start or even where my mood will take me. But, I have Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs, all of which I’m hoping to get to at some point.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Easy. Entenmann’s Raspberry Danish. Yummy!!!

4) Tell us a little something about yourself.

My name is Myndi, I’m 40, married, 4 kids, SAHM who also goes to college part-time trying to wrap up my Bachelor’s before going onto graduate school (Humanities, Library Science), and I’m a self-proclaimed book nerd (seriously, my license plate says so).

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do differently today?

Actually missed April, but participated for the first time last October. This time, I removed myself from the chaos of my home (5 year old triplets aren’t exactly library quiet), so that I could focus on the event. Made a weekend out of it and so far…awesome decision! Don’t know if I can do it every time, but I do hope to make a habit of it.

Here’s to an awesome day of reading like a madwoman!

If you’re participating, please let me know and I’ll come by and say hi during my hourly breaks!

And best of luck to all my fellow readathoners!

Feel free to come cheer me on or check out what I’m reading on my Twitter (@madbooklove) or on Goodreads (http://goodreads.com/madbooklove) or, of course, you can always check out my latest updates here.
