Review: To be honest, I didn’t finish this book. I got halfway through, and I just couldn’t anymore. It simply wasn’t for me. It didn’t hold my interest. I kept finding myself rereading the same pages over and over again because my mind would start to wander, and that’s when I realized that this is simply one of those books that either a) isn’t for me at all or b) this isn’t the right time for me to be reading it. Several times I’ve had to set a book aside, only to pick it up years later, at exactly the right time, and fallen in love with it. Sometimes timing matter, sometimes the timing is never right.
I have friends who are huge fans of this author, which is why I requested it. And I really, really wanted to love it. But no matter how badly I wanted the chemistry to be there, it simply wasn’t. I’m disappointed, but hopeful that in future, the timing will be right. Or that this author might have another story that is more suited to me.
